I’m taking a stand to stomp out the use of the “F Word” FEAR!
It debilitating, controlling and leaves us stuck and stalled. I’m hell bent on casting fearful, doubtful, worries from my mind, and facing my challenges head on laughing about it now and later.
How about you?
Here’s my greatest wish for you. May you have the determination to face your fears and move past any worry or doubt. May you have the wisdom to make the right decisions in every dilemma you face. May you have the strength to persevere in spite of your frustrations. May you be filled with peace, laughter and joy. May you stand up for your life’s possibilities.
Cancer & Comedy, Leukemia & Laughter…you wouldn’t think these words go hand-in-hand, but for comedian Matt Light they do. Matt Light is a stand up comedian who got his start in Pittsburgh, sharing his jokes and stories from the stages in the Burg. It was no laughing matter however, when he received a phone call that changed his life forever.
His doctor told him he had cancer. Instead of taking a break from the spotlight, his cancer became his opening line and for Matt, laughter truly was the best medicine. Having cancer and not performing stand up anymore made Matt appreciate his talent, and made him Hustle! Now he is cancer free and is celebrated as Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2015 Best Comedian. Matt Light on Hustle & Heart TV with Darieth Chisolm.
